Today we learned the techniques to completed creating our sugar roses. Above is a tea rose.
These roses above are just a bit bigger.
The final roses were awesome. I was so excited to learn the magical techniques to make these amazing roses.
Ron spent time with us to discuss inspiration and artistry and so much more about his experiences as a pastry chef and cake designer.
Tomorrow we will be completing all the flowers we have been working on for the last 2 days.

After class, a group of us went to downtown Savannah to explore the stunning architecture. Many of the homes and buildings around Forsyth Park were built in the 1800’s. They were filming a movie called Savannah down one of the beautiful streets we were walking down. Here are some photos I took to show the beauty and architectural detail in the buildings in Savannah.
