I had so much fun designing a cupcake tower and display for Nathan’s Bar Mitzvah yesterday at the Blue Ridge Country Club in Harrisburg. As you can see Nathan is a avid skateboarder and the theme for the celebration was all about skateboarding.
I thought it would be neat to have the cupcake tower actually on skateboards and it worked out perfectly. The tower looked like it was floating above the two skateboards it was placed on.
Candles for the candle lighting were also placed on a skateboard.
The colors were black, dark silver and purple.
I printed photos on Nathan skateboarding on edible icing sheets and added then to the cake topper along with a skateboard on top.
The cupcake flavors were mocha, nutty monkey, vanilla vanilla and chocolate Oreo. The decorations for the cupcakes were embossed “13”s and stars.
Nathan had family members also celebrating birthdays this weekend, so I had fun making some additional cakes. A PSU fan, preppy aunt and an ocean lover.
Nathan’s mom Elizabeth did an amazing job making everything so special. The kids’ side of the room had these great centerpieces with purple and silver balloons floating above.
The adult’s side of the room looked stunning with beautiful floral designs by Bloom’s by Vickrey.
Table numbers were even skateboard themed.
The professional entertainment team of Pulse Entertainment from Philadelphia came with DJ’s and dancers to entertain the kids and adults. I wanted to stay! The music was awesome and Ian the MC was sure to make the evening a blast .
Congratulations Nathan!
