All I can say is the details in Kari and Tim’s wedding reception at The Cork Factory on Sunday were amazing. For all you baseball enthusiasts, you will love this! The theme of the reception is what I would describe as vintage chic baseball. I had so much fun designing this dessert/cake table.
Kari and Tim opted for a 2 tier cake for the bridal party to share and cupcakes for the guests. There were lots of other goodies too!
The cupcake menu included cafe mocha, marble cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and white cake with almond frosting. I designed the menu cards and vessel wraps using the logo and style of the dinner menu so everything tied together. Chocolate dipped pretzels and mocha M&M’s were also part of the goodies.
Each cupcake was topped with a chocolate baseball. The cupcakes were displayed on vintage cake plates and plateaus provided by the bride’s wonderful mother Kim.
Chocolate Whirley pops were displayed in tall jars filled with popcorn. I used the paisley paper from their invitations as part of the wrap. Using various heights when designing a dessert table is a must. Popcorn was the perfect filler to keep the pops in place.
Our chocolate cake pops are always a fan favorite.
Instead of a traditional guest book, guests were invited to autograph a baseball for the couple.
Isn’t the display beautiful! Tim and Kari’s childhood baseball photos are framed in the back.
The high top tables in the outdoor cocktail area were also decorated with a baseball theme.
The escort card board had a baseball card of a player and their number designating which table each guest was to be seated at. Even the silver tack is a baseball. Love the details!
The centerpieces for each table were wonderful. Each table had a photo of the player coordinating with the table assignment from the escort board. This is a great example of how a touch of creativity can create something very special.
Even a signed baseball was part of the centerpiece. It’s all in the details!
Favors were Cracker Jacks and root beer placed at each table setting with a custom tag.
The beautiful florals were designed by Wildflowers By Design.
What an amazing wedding. The time spent on the details in making this wedding extraordinary were fabulous.
