On Saturday I had the honor of creating a wedding cake for Amanda and Chad’s wedding. The wedding and reception were held at Chad’s parent’s property in Gettysburg. Almost 400 guests were in attendance for this amazing wedding.
The theme of the wedding was sunflowers and fall colors. When designing the cake, I wanted to do somthing elegant with a touch of rustic charm, so I incorporated a basket weave pattern on the cake and included sugar sunflowers.
I also created a custom cake base to tie in with the theme of the wedding. The cake flavor was white cake with chocolate mint buttercream.
The toss bouquet was adorable.
Local cookie artist Kim Barrett with Edible Art made cookie favors for all the guests…just beautiful!
The escort cards displayed in grass tied in perfectly with the setting.
Each table had a different centerpiece incorporating sunflowers in vintage vessels. Terri Maclay with Nature’s Harmony did an incredible job with the florals. This was one of my favorites. The sunflowers were displayed in a vintage muffin tin.
Patty Armbrust & Co. created the hors d’oeuvres for the wedding. The display and presentation were stunning! A huge tractor cart was used to display and delicious food.
This amazing wolf ice sculpture was just beautiful! The couples last name is Wolfe 🙂
As I was leaving, the wonderful smell of bbq being cooked by Pig Tails was wafting through the air. Yum.
Congratulations to Amanda and Chad. The amazing team of Patty Armbrust and Terri Maclay with Nature’s Harmony did a fabulous job making this spectacular wedding come together.
