by There’s always a bit of pressure when an envelope is delivered to me with the gender of the baby before the parents even know! Thar’s what my friends Matt and Nat did. I only quadruple checked to make sure I got the color of the buttercream filling right for their gender reveal cake.
When Matt and Nat contacted me to design the cake for their party, I was not only honored but so excited for them. They are two of the nicest people who happen to be very talented photographers and owners of MattnNat Photography. Both being artists and not wanting to go traditional, they had the coolest gender reveal party. Forget light pink and baby blue, they went with coral and navy blue. The theme was hot rods and heels and they had so many fabulous details. The cake had flames on 1/2 the cake and little flowers on the other with gold accents with a navy ruffling.
I also made cupcakes with fondant high heels and flames for the decorations. They looked amazing on the dessert table they designed. I may need to hire them 🙂
Guests made their gender selection by choosing either a hot rod or heels tattoo. Such a cute ideas!
The big reveal!
It’s a girl! What a lucky baby to have two such amazing parents.
