A Romantic Ruffle Cake

This past weekend was certainly a ruffle filled weekend. Lauren and David had their reception Sunday at Liberty Forge. The look of their wedding incorporated vintage elegance.

The cake flavors included white cake with Oreo buttercream filling and chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filling.

This is a sugar rose I created in my class with the amazing cake and sugar flower artist Ron Ben Israel. He’s currently hosting Food Network’s Sweet Genius, so be sure to watch 🙂

Simple touches like a burlap runner and table number on pretty paper in a frame makes all the difference in creating the look and feel you want at your reception. Just taking the time to do something a little special with a table number is so worth it.
