Kate & Mike’s Wedding Sweets Table

Kate and Mike were married this Sunday at the State Capitol building in Harrisburg. They had their reception afterwards, within walking distance, at Stock’s on 2nd. It was such a pleasure working with Kate and creating a wonderful cupcake tower and sweets table for their reception.
The theme included black and white damask and chartreuse green accents. The bouquets included calla lilies, so I used some of the flowers she provided to create the cake topper for the cupcake tower.

The cupcake menu included Nutty Monkey, Cafe Mocha and Vanilla Vanilla. Flower blossom decorations on the cupcakes included white, green and black.

Some of the goodies included fresh chocolate chip cookies, yogurt covered pretzels, black and white peachy penguins, chocolate gems in black, white and green, marshmallow pops, chocolate covered pretzel rods, green gummi bears, rock candy sticks and gummi apple rings. All super yummy!

Each of the damask print tags included a green rhinestone accent. Green gummi frogs too…my favorite.

This was a blast creating. Adding sweets to a cake or cupcake display really makes a statement and takes the entire presentation to another level.

Congratulations Kate & Mike!

Here’s what Kate had to saying on her Wedding Wire review.

“We had a cocktail reception with heavy hors d’oeurves, and we didn’t feel that a traditional cake fit with our theme. We met with Jasmine to discuss a dessert buffet, which was absolutely perfect, as people could pick at treats and mingle as they had their drinks. I had utmost faith in her abilities, but when I saw the buffet for the first time, I was floored–it was more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. We had three different cupcake flavors in addition to cookies, chocolate pretzels, and candies that coordinated with our wedding colors. She beautifully incorporated our wedding flowers into the top of the cupcake display, and she provided labels and tags that were so elegant and classy! Jasmine was also flexible with us as far as choices and pricing, and every bride needs a vendor as easy-going and upbeat as her to keep your mind at ease! Oh, and did I mention that the cake was DELICIOUS? She offers a great variety of flavors, and your biggest challenge will be narrowing down which ones to get, because you WILL want them all. I would (and have) recommend her to anyone who wants something beautiful and still reflects the individual tastes and personalities of the couple.
