Let’s start by saying “wow”. What a wedding…can’t wait to fill you in on the details below. Kelly and her mom Cynthia were amazing with work with. It was truly a pleasure turning their vision into reality for Kelly’s wedding day. First off, the cake has to be one of my favorites. They both completely trusted me to create something unique, funky and beautiful.
The cake incorporated the colors used in the wedding as well as flowers I used on the cupcakes for the reception. Deep purple, bright green and a dark teal. The cake flavor was white cake with lemon curd & lemon buttercream fillings.
The wedding took place at Lauxmont Farms in Wrightsville. The ceremony took place outside the rotunda where the reception took place. All I can say the view from where the guests were seated overlooking the countryside was just majestic. Kelly looked stunning in her gown.
Kelly’s mom Cynthia is an amazing artists and designed the invitations, table numbers and seating chart. The photo above has some of the watercolor illustrations she did which were also included in the invitations. Just beautiful.
Catering and linens were provided by The JDK Group in Camp Hill. The florals were designed by Stacia with Petals With Style in Lancaster. As always, both their work was fabulous.
The deep purple runners and dark teal linens looks beautiful together.
In addition to the wedding cake, I created 175 cupcakes for the guests. Kelly wanted them incorporated as part of the centerpiece on each table. They looked amazing with the florals. Stacia created three different floral designs, so each table looked a little different.
The wedding cake was incorporated on the candy table that Kelly’s mom designed.
Here are some of the amazing cupcake displays for each table. The cupcake flavors included chocolate cake with caramel buttercream frosting, chocolate cake with Oreo frosting, carrot cake with honey cream cheese frosting and white cake with fresh lemon curd filling and lemon buttercream frosting.
