Okay…how much fun did I have making this wedding cake 🙂 Gretchen and Steve were married this past Sunday at his parents property in Dillsburg. When I met with Gretchen, I knew she was a free spirit and wanted something a little special and different for her wedding cake. She brought in a couple of photos of Alice in Wonderland like cakes and definitely wanted it a little wonky…that another term for a topsy turvey cake.
The wedding colors were brown, burnt orange, red and sage green. Gerber daisies were also incorporated in the bouquets.
The cake flavors were vanilla cake with raspberry buttercream filling and red velvet cake with honey cream cheese filling.
The dangling crystal stand I recently purchased was just the perfect pedestal.
I didn’t get to see the tent all set up, but Amanda Savory with The JDK Group was running the show and I’m sure the catering was just perfect!
